Doris A. Bricker

Doris A. (Beard) Bricker, 62, of Wyomissing, died July 28, 2009 in Reading Hospital.

She was the wife of Lee C. Bricker, Jr.

Born in West Reading, she was a daughter of Jean (Kroenig) Beard, West Lawn and the late Nevin K. Beard.

Doris was a 1964 graduate of Wilson High School. In 1968 she earned a bachelors degree in Elementary Education and in 1971 a master's degree in Education at Kutztown State College.

She was employed by Austin, Boland, Conners and Giorgi for 20 years as a legal secretary, last working on July 2, 2009. Doris was a former 5th grade teacher at Lincoln Park Elementary School for five years.

Doris was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Whitfield.

She was an avid tennis player and enjoyed biking, hiking and spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, John L., husband of Veronica Minacapelli, Robesonia, her step-son, Andrew L., husband of Michelle Bricker, Humble, TX and her step-daughter, Dione L., wife of Michael Foyle, Marietta, GA.

She is also survived by her brother, Nevin R. Beard, Crestwood, her sister, Mary, wife of Niles Stoudt, Punta Gorda, FL and six grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Ignatius Loyola R. C. Church, 2810 St. Albans Dr., Sinking Spring, PA 19608. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading.
