Dorace E. Leinbach, 85, of Wyomissing, passed away January 17, 2017, at her residence.
Dorace was a daughter of the late John F. and Irene (Sweigart) Witman. She was the wife of Ralph C. Leinbach Jr., to whom she was married for 66 years.
Born in Denver, PA, Dorace grew up in West Reading and was a graduate of West Reading High School, Class of 1949.
In addition to raising her children, she also volunteered at the Reading Hospital and served as leader for a Girl Scout troop. She was a lifelong knitter for friends, family, and donations to charities such as the Red Cross, Animal Rescue League, and local hospitals. When not at home in Berks County, she enjoyed spending time with friends and family in Stone Harbor, NJ, Miami, FL, and Pinehurst, NC. Her skills at bridge won her many friends over the years. And in her spare time, she was a prolific reader and crossword puzzle addict.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children: Eric L. Leinbach and partner Judy L. Geibel, Saylorsburg; Lori Z. Leinbach and husband Charles Linton, Southborough, MA; and Tracy A. Leinbach, Miami, FL; a sister, Miriam Mengel, wife of John, Mt. Holly, NJ; two grandchildren, Megan Belliveau and Michael Kocher, husband of Stephanie; two great-grandchildren, Quinn and Ezra; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dorace was predeceased by a daughter, Jan Kocher, wife of Thomas Kocher of Sinking Spring.
