Donnamaria L. Santiago, 70, of Shillington, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 1, 2025. She was the loving wife of Fred C. Santiago, with whom she shared a marriage of 45 years.
She was born in Reading to John J. Arthur, husband of Elizabeth Arthur, of Blandon, and the late Marianotonia (Buffano) Arthur. She graduated from Governor Mifflin High School. Employed by Gai-Tronics for over 29 years, she last worked as an inventory controller.
She was a member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church.
Donnamaria was a loving wife and mother, and she treasured her grandchildren. A caring person, she always put the needs of others ahead of herself. With her beloved husband, Fred, she journeyed to Aruba 15 times. On a few of those trips, they were accompanied by other members of their family. Donnamaria enjoyed cooking and gardening, and, in her spare time, she enjoyed reading and playing games like CandyCrush.
In addition to her husband and father, Donnamaria's memory will be treasured by her daughter, Maria Santiago of Reading, and son, James A. Arthur of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Dylan and Tyler, Alexis Santiago, and Brayden Santiago; her sister, Teresa Drexel, wife of Harold "Drex" Drexel, of Mohnton; her brother, John Arthur Jr. of Reading; and her sister-in-law, Melinda Santiago, companion of Larry Oberc, of Laureldale. In addition to her mother, Donnamaria was predeceased by her sister, Brenda Arthur.
