Donna Lee Speck

Donna Lee Speck, 63, passed away on February 6, 2024 at the Reading Hospital. Born in Reading Pennsylvania to Francis Breidegam and Joan (Blake) Hoffman, she graduated from Reading High School in 1978. At age 19, Donna began her career at the Reading Hospital and worked there for 45 years until her passing, lastly in IT security. She was the wife of Joseph D. Speck, Jr. The loving couple married on September 16th 1989.

Donna was a very loving person who adored her family and friends as much as they adored her. She attended all family and friends functions, and was always fashionably late but was the life of the party. She enjoyed "Sharking" with friends in her younger days.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph D. Speck Jr., brother Terry Breidegam (Sharon), mother-in-law Gayle Speck, sisters-in-law Vicki Cipolla (Rocco) and Vickie Hoffman, brother-in-law Darrin Speck, nieces: Corinne Breidegam, Christina Hufnagel (Chad), Alexa Cipolla, nephews: Brian Breidegam (Jodi), Jason Hoffman (Mary Kate), Wesley Cipolla, Austin Speck, and Max Speck, and great-nieces and nephews: Sayge, Chase, Kearni, Brendan, Ava, Cole, Chloe, Samantha, Layla, and Arabella, godson Tyler Hoss.

She was predeceased by her mother Joan Hoffman, father Francis Breidegam, and step-father Sam Hoffman, father-in-law Joseph Speck Sr., and brother Jim Hoffman.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 1:30 p.m. at Kuhn Funeral Home, West Reading. The viewing will begin at 12:00 p.m. and continue until the time of the service.
