Donna Marie Nitka

Donna Marie Nitka, 74, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2025 at Reading Hospital. She was the loving wife of William Nitka, with whom she shared 44 years of marriage.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Ruth (Schmehl) Umbenhauer. After graduating Reading High School, Donna worked for over ten years as a clerk typist in the Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation. After starting a family with Bill, she left the workforce to devote herself to raising her daughters. Donna was the owner of Nitka Computers from 1981 until 2023.

In addition to her husband, Bill, Donna is survived by daughters: Catherine Good (Aaron) and Jennifer Trainor (John), both of Shillington; and eight grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc, A prayer service will be held on Thursday, July 31 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Resurrection at Gethsemane Cemetery, followed by interment.
