Donna M. Bewley

Donna M. Bewley, 56, of Playground Drive, West Reading, died of natural causes April 30 at 11:40 a.m. in Hershey Medical Center, Dauphin County, where she had been a patient for more than two weeks.

Her husband, Jesse C. Bewley, died Nov. 13, 1996.

Born in East Grand Rapids, Mich., she was a daughter of the late Bernard C. and Gene M. (Levengood) Scudder.

Bewley had been employed for eight years as a registered nurse by Exeter Pediatric Center, last working in 2001. She previously worked 14 years as a registered nurse at the Reading office of Dr. Sandra K. Rowan.

She was a member of St. James Church, West Reading.

Bewley was a 1965 graduate of West Reading High School and a 1968 graduate of the Reading Hospital School of Nursing.

For eight years she was chairwoman and a committee member of the West Reading Freedom Fest held July 4.

Bewley is survived by a son, Jason C., Myerstown, Lebanon County, and a daughter, Pamela M. (Bewley) Raab, Reading.

There are also two grandsons.

Services will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton.
