Donald Lamar Yoder

Donald Lamar Yoder, 88, passed away August 20, 2014 in his Alsace Township residence.

He was the widower of Helen (Keller) Yoder.

Born November 30, 1925 in Reading, he was a son of the late William H. and Mamie (Downer) Yoder.

He was employed in the plastics industry for over 20 years, working for Polymer Plastics and Quadrant Engineering Plastics Products, Inc.

Donald was a wonderful, caring man who loved his family, and animals.

He is survived by his two nephews: Lee W., husband of Marilyn Messner, Temple; Jeff D., husband of Patricia Messner, Fleetwood; and his niece, Diane, wife of Bill Williams, NJ. Also surviving are his three great-nephews: Greg, Kevin, and Branden Messner; and his three great-nieces: Nicole Vandevort, Tara Hall, and Tami Merryman.

Donald was predeceased by his sister, D. Venona Messner.

Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in Kuhn-Stitzel Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., 423 Main St., Oley. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Oley Valley Youth League, 446 Bertolet Mill Rd, Oley, PA 19547.
