Donald R. Wasser

Donald R. Wasser, 87, formerly of West Reading, passed away December 2, 2011 in his Hummelstown residence. Survived by his wife of 63 years Matilda M. "Tillie" (Ciotti) Wasser.

Born in Reading, the son of the late Lucius and Eva (Wagner) Wasser, he was a 1942 graduate of Reading High School and a 1948 graduate of Franklin and Marshall College, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Economics.

He was a Battle of the Bulge U.S. Army artillery division veteran.

Donald was employed in sales at A.B. Dick Business Machines, Reading; Ciotti Markets and retired as a financial planner for DWS Investments.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children: Susann M., wife of William Mick, Ellicott City, MD, Nanci L., wife of Dr. Michael Leddy, St. Lawrence, Donald R. Wasser, Jr., Oley, Lawrence P., husband of Joan Wasser, Harrisburg and Mary Jo, wife of Roger Zimmer, Hummelstown.

He is also survived by eight grandchildren: Jason J. Buynovsky, Michael P. Leddy, Julia L. Leddy, Spencer W. Leddy, Megan Janel Zimmer, Andrew J. Zimmer, Jenna A. Zimmer and Lauren M. Wasser.

Friends may call Thursday, December 8, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading, PA 19611.
