Donald R. Moyer

Donald R. Moyer, Jr., 65, formerly of Bernville, died August 3, 2010 in Sunrise of Allentown.

He was the husband of Sandra J. (Sims) Moyer.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Donald R., Sr., and May A. (Palm) Moyer.

Donald was a 1962 graduate of Conrad Weiser High School.

He was employed for 34 years at Carpenter Technology Corporation, Reading, retiring in 1991 as maintenance supervisor.

Donald was a member of Williamson Masonic Lodge 307.

He was a U.S. Army veteran.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his three daughters: Karen L. Francis, Whitehall; Kristen J. Rahn, Lewes, DE and Lori A. Banta, Sedro-Woolley, WA. Also surviving are his two brothers: Craig, husband of Lenora Moyer, Reading and Brian, husband of Wendy Moyer, Reinholds. There are seven grandchildren: Ryan, Megan, Tara, Tanner, Alaina, Caitlin and Gabriel and one great-grandson, Damian.

Donald was predeceased by his brother, Barry Moyer.

Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. A viewing will be from 9 to 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Sinking Spring. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhome.com.
