Donald B. Miller, a past president of the Wilson School Board, died July 2 at 12:04 p.m. in his residence on Leland Avenue, Lincoln Park.
Miller, 79, was the husband of Dorothy T. (Tobias) Miller.
Born in Reading, he was a son of the late J.L. and Helen (Brumbach) Miller.
He was a member of the Wilson School Board from 1960 to 1972 and served as president from 1960 to 1962. Miller was a former athletic committee chairman.
Miller was president of Stauffer & Miller Inc., Womelsdorf, a casket-supply company, for 20 years, retiring in 1992.
He was a 1941 graduate of Mount Penn High School and a 1943 graduate of Eckels College of Mortuary Science, Philadelphia.
Miller was a Navy veteran of World War II.
He was a member of Lincoln Park Community United Methodist Church.
Miller was past president of the Lincoln Park Civic League and a former member of the Berks County Parks and Recreation Board.
Miller is also survived by a son, D. Scott, Cumru Township; and two daughters, Donna M. (Miller) Greul, Naples, Fla., and Jamie M. (Miller) Maack, Cumru Township.
Other survivors include a brother, James L., West Chester; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be Friday at 11:30 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading. Viewing from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Entombment will be in Pleasant View Cemetery Mausoleum, Spring Township. Contributions may be made to Lincoln Park Community United Methodist Church, 1 Carlisle Avenue, Reading, Pa 19609.
