Donald Howard Hunter

Donald Howard Hunter, 93, of Temple, died April 2, 2013, in The Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

He was the husband of Miriam (Beam) Hunter whom he married February 14, 1942.

Born September 22, 1919 in Cressona, Schuylkill County, he was a son of the late Earl Shaud and Frida (Naffin) Hunter.

Donald was a 1937 graduate of Muhlenberg High School.

He was employed with Savage for 19 years where he retired in 2003. Prior to that he was employed with Reading Buick for 20 years as auto parts manager.

Donald was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his son, David Earl, husband of Sharon V. (Bord) Hunter of Temple.

Other survivors include his sister, Ruth, wife of Glenn Kohler of Muhlenberg Township; two grandchildren, Kathleen and Timothy and three great grandchildren, Courtney, Madison and Nathan.

Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township. For online condolences, visit www.christfuneralhome.com.
