Donald George Stout Jr.

Donald George Stout, Jr., 89, of West Reading, passed away January 9, 2025, at the Reading Hospital.

Born in West Reading, he was a son of the late Donald George, Sr., and Lavona (Yerger) Stout.

Donald was a 1953graduate of West Reading High School and was highly athletic, participating in baseball, football, basketball, and track. In 1953, he received an alumni award for his achievements in football.

He was a member of Kenhorst Fire Company.

Donald relished the thrill of trying his luck at the casinos, had a passion for sports, particularly enjoying games featuring the Reading Phillies, played pool, and cherished moments with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by two sons, Michael Stout, husband of Johanna, TX, and Rodney Stout, companion of Dehlia, West Reading; four grandchildren: Jamie Stout, companion of Matt, Kristy Trostle, Krystal Bond, wife of Frederick, and Rachael Cornish, wife of Hunter. He is also survived by six great grandchildren: Aiden Ho, Kolbie Cornish, Kiefer Trostle, Liam Cornish, Genisis Jimenez, and Lily Cornish.

Donald was predeceased by his brother, David D. Stout.

Services will be Thursday January 16, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Burial will be at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
