Donald G. Buchert

Donald G. Buchert, 83, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at Keystone Villa at Douglassville.

Carolyn A. Armer was his cherished life partner, and they resided together for 44 years, creating a lifetime of memories.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late George and Florence (Eck) Buchert.

He was a 1959 graduate of Oley Valley High School.

Donald served our nation proudly in the US Reserves.

He was retired from Crompton and Knowles, Corporation, Reading.

Donald held a lifelong membership with both the Oley Fire Company and Mohnton Fish and Game. Additionally, he found pleasure in watching Nascar racing events, playing online poker, and relaxing on the beach.

In addition to Carolyn, he is survived by his daughter, Tammy, wife of Philip Burkhart; four siblings: Dennis, widower of Georgia Buchert, Mary Balloch, Gail, wife of Glenn Thomas, and Barry, husband of Robin Buchert; and two grandchildren, Kelly Burkhart, wife of Paraj Titum, and Eric Burkhart. He is also survived by Carolyn's daughter, Kelly, wife of David Lionti; their four children: Zachary Davies, Vanessa Davies, Matthew, husband of Alyssa Lionti, and Nathan, husband of Holly Lionti; and eight great grandchildren.

Donald was predeceased by his brother, Gerald Buchert.
