Donald L. Deeds

Donald L. Deeds, 72, passed away in his West Reading residence on May 7, 2014.

Born January 25, 1942, in West Reading, he was the son of the late Leonard and Ethel (Stevens) Deeds.

He was a 1959 graduate of Governor Mifflin High School, and earned his B.S. in education from Millersville University in 1967.

Donald was a teacher at Pottsville Area School district for 12 years, retiring in 1980.

He proudly served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam era.

Donald is survived by his fiancée, Sharon Smith, and friend John Burdick. He is also survived by his brother, Barry Deeds.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc. West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
