Donald D. Kimberling, 80, of Wernersville, died April 16, 2017, in the Reading Hospital.

He was the husband of Mary Anne (Freeburn) Kimberling. They were married in New Cumberland on July 4, 1959.

Born in St. Louis, MO, he was a son of the late Luther A. and Olivet N. (Diven) Kimberling.

Donald was a graduate of Governor Mifflin High School in 1954 and Temple University in 1958 where he earned a bachelor's degree in communications.

He was a U.S. Army veteran.

He was a sports announcer for radio station WEEU for five years.

He was employed by Tel Ra Productions, Philadelphia from 1963-1998, retiring in 1998.

Donald was an avid collector of sports memorabilia.

Donald was a member of Center for Spiritual Living, Berks County, Wernersville.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons: David D. of Exton and Douglas D. of Coatesville; and six grandchildren: twins, Nicholas, and Zachary; Benjamin; Theo; Darby; and Devon.

A memorial service will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in Phoebe Berks Auditorium, 1 Reading Dr, Wernersville, PA 19565. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Contributions may be made to Phoebe Berks at the above address or the Center for Spiritual Living, 110 First St., Wernersville, PA 19565, Edward J.
