Donald C. Bucher

Donald C. "Mickey" Bucher, 90, formerly of Shillington, passed away, December 7, 2009 in Berks Heim, Bern Township.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Sadie (Dunkelberger) Keenan, in July, 1974 and his second wife, Ruth E. (Matten) Bohn on December 3, 2007.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Howard and Emma (Weldy) Bucher.

Donald was employed for 32 years as a material handler by Wilson Products, retiring in 1983.

He was a member of Wyomissing United Church of Christ where he was a deacon from 1945-1965.

For 20 years, Donald was trustee of Gouglersville Fire Company and Captain of the Gouglersville Fire Police.

He is survived by four step-sons, Charles Keenan, Jeffrey Keenan and Dr. Richard Keenan, all of Reading and Kermit E., husband of Cynthia Bohn, Boyertown and a step-daughter, Carol A. Siegel, wife of Rodney A. Waid, Womelsdorf.

Donald is also survived by six step-grandchildren, six step-great-grandchildren, three step-great-great-grandchildren, three nephews and four nieces.

Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading, PA 19611. Burial will be in St. Michael's Union Cemetery, Tilden Township.
