Dona Lee Mazurkiewicz

Dona Lee Mazurkiewicz, 84, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at Baptist Medical Center South in Jacksonville, FL. She was the wife of John Mazurkiewicz with whom she shared 60 years of marriage before his passing in 2018.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Hattie Braun and a 1957 graduate of West Reading High School. Dona devoted herself to her being a wife and mother, raising her family in West Reading. She worked various part time jobs throughout her life. She enjoyed traveling (especially to Las Vegas and on bus trips), crafting, knitting and baking.

Dona was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by son, Mark A. Mazurkiewicz, husband of MaryJane, of Jacksonville; daughter, Debra L., wife of Gus Tellis, of Pottstown; six grandchildren: Justyn Fake (Lynn), Trevor Fake (Brianna), Katie, John, Anna, and Karli; great grandchildren: Lilly, Leah, Anika, and Ariella; and a sister, Nedra (Marshall) Tress.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John; daughter, Cindy Fake; and brothers, Robert and Jack Braun.

Services will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 12:00 pm in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc. 739 Penn Avenue West Reading, PA 19611. The family will receive friends and relatives from 11:00 am until the time of service. Entombment will follow at Laureldale Cemetery in Reading.
