Dominic M. Periandi

Dominic M. "Mike" Periandi, 82, of Kenhorst, died on March 16, 2013 in Reading Hospital.

He was the husband of Marianna (Gentile) Periandi, whom he married December 3, 2000.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Raffaele and Filomena (Cacciacarne) Periandi.

Dominic graduated from Reading High School and Bryland Beauty School.

He worked at Firestone Tire and Rubber Company, Pottstown, PA for over 30 years, and also served as a Union Representative.

Dominic was a life member and past officer of The Beneficial Society of Victor Emmanuel II. He was also a life member of Kenhorst Fire Company and a proprietor of his clock shop in Reading.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Ralph M. "Rick", husband of Vicki (Rohrbach) Periandi, Wyomissing, and Joseph M., husband of Adrienne (Cappadona) Periandi Reading. He is also survived by his sister, Marie, wife of George Gehring, Kenhorst; grandchildren: Rick M., husband of Molly (Kauffman) Periandi, and Zachary M. Periandi, and great-grandson, Brayden M. Periandi. Additional survivors include his step-children, Gino Gentile, Lancaster, and Caterina Shirey, Lebanon.

Dominic was predeceased by his first wife, Betty Jane (Terefenko) Periandi, who died January 18, 1981. He was also predeceased by his brothers, Joseph Periandi, who was killed in action in Normandy, and Frank Periandi, who died on January 22, 2013. His sisters, Violet Vaccaro and Margaret Rosito also predeceased him.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 740 Cherry St, West Reading, PA 19611. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery.
