Dominic J. Maddaloni, 86, formerly of West Reading, died February 5, 2013, in Berks Heim.

He was the husband of Jeanne D. (Wix) Maddaloni whom he was married to for 63 wonderful years.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Biagio and Marie (Volpiccini) Maddaloni.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during WWII.

He was employed for 14 years for USPS, Reading, retiring in 1988. He previously worked for 20 years as an assembler for Brown Trailers which became Clark Equipment.

Dominic was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, West Reading.

He was an avid bowler and golfer, and especialy enjoyed camping and fishing in Delaware.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons, Nicholas J., Annville, Joseph M., Stony Creek Mills, James D., San Francisco and John F., Enola; three sisters, Catherine Truckley, Birdsboro, Carmella Reifsnyder and Emily March, both of Douglassville; one grandson, Alex Maddaloni and two great-grandchildren, Anthony Maddaloni and Skylar Maddaloni.

He was predeceased by four brothers, Phillip, Anthony, Nicholas and Frank and two sisters, Anna Korytkowski and Mary Kretzman.

The family would like to thank the staff of Berks Heim for the care they showed Dominic, especially the staff of B-1 and the therapy unit.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 12 p.m. in Sacred Heart Church. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in Edward J.
