Domenic Joseph Calpino

Domenic Joseph Calpino, 78, of Muhlenberg Township, died October 16, 2009 in his son's Muhlenberg Township residence.

He was married July 25, 1953 to the late Carolyn Mae (Marberger) Calpino who died June 18, 2003.

Born July 27, 1931 in Reading, he was a son of the late Joseph and Theresa (DeLillo) Calpino.

Domenic was a 1951 graduate of Reading High School.

He was employed as a driver, then as a counterman for Yeager Supply, Reading for 20 years, retiring in 1996.

Domenic served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.

He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Laureldale.

Surviving is a daughter, Donna M. (Calpino) Young of Wichita, Kansas and two sons, Jeffrey A., husband of Kathryn E. (Harvey) Calpino of Muhlenberg Township and Scott M., husband of Lori A. (Bauder) Calpino of Penn Township.

Other survivors include a brother Frank Calpino of Sun City, AZ and a sister Phyllis (Calpino) Schultz of Muhlenberg Township.

He is also survived by his loving companion Joyce Civello of Muhlenberg Township.

Other survivors include four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Domenic was predeceased by two grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale, with the Rev. James C. Covert officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Inurnment will be in St. Thomas Reformed Church Cemetery, Bernville.
