Dolores Joan Yerger

Dolores J. Yerger, 74, of Laureldale, passed away Sunday, July 18, 2021, in the care of St. Joseph Hospital. She was the widow of Ronald W. Yerger, who passed in 1985.

Born in Pottsville, Dolores was a child of the late George E. and Alma M. (Wise) Stahl. She attended Pine Grove Area High School.

Dolores loved her cats dearly. When not traveling to train meets with Ronald, she was traveling to cat shows with her prized Persians. Dolores was a practical woman who valued the simple things in life—her family was chief among them.

She is survived by her children, Kimberly Garman of Laureldale and Chuck Madenford (Valerie) of Lititz, her five grandchildren, and her 4 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, John Stahl of Pine Grove, her twin sister, Gloria J. Brittain of Reading, and her sisters, Shirley Liptock of Reading and Carol Unger of Pine Grove.

A Celebration of Life and Sharing of Memories will be held on Friday, July 23, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Kuhn Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 5153 Kutztown Road, Temple. Friends and family may gather at the funeral home beginning at 1 pm. Condolences may be expressed at www.kuhnfuneralhomes.com.
