Dolores Lee Nice Webby

Dolores Lee Nice Webby "Lee", 79 of West Reading, Pennsylvania died October 17, 2011 in her home surrounded by her family.

Born in West Reading, Pennsylvania on July 23, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Mary (Lepera) Schlarb. Lee graduated from Sinking Spring High School, Class of 1950, and furthered her education in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

For over 20 years Lee owned and operated a local gift shop, known as the House of Pillows, where she used her many creative talents to design specialty gifts. She also worked for interior decorators and a local flower shop.

Lee participated in many community organizations including the Garden Club of Reading, the Women's Club of Reading, and numerous auxiliary and school activities.

Because of her kind spirit and giving heart, she touched the lives of many and left a lasting impression. She was a fabulous story teller and pied piper to her treasured grandchildren and great-grandchildren alike.

Her hobbies included bowling, golf, gardening, flower arranging, interior decorating, ceramics, sewing, knitting, costume making, cooking and baking, attending flea markets and numerous arts and crafts.

She was an active member of St. James Church in West Reading, Pennsylvania.

Lee is survived by her loving husband of ten years, Richard Webby of West Reading, and by her son, Frederick, husband of Nancy L. Nice of Wyomissing and a daughter, Elizabeth Lee Nice of Temple. She is also survived by four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Franklin M. Nice and her brother, Paul A. Schlarb.

The family will receive visitors at St. James Church in West Reading on Saturday, October 22, 2011 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. A memorial service celebrating Lee's life will immediately follow at St. James Church. The Reverend Schaun Myers will officiate. Burial at St. John's Cemetery in Hamburg will be private. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading is in charge of arrangements.
