Dolores D'Amico Bauer

Dolores D'Amico Bauer, 84, died September 24, 2014 in Summerville, SC, where she moved from New York City in 2009.

She was born in Mahanoy City, a daughter of the late Dominick and Mary (Grimaldi) D'Amico. She was the widow of Robert F. Bauer. She was affectionately known as "Dodie"

Dolores was a graduate of Mahanoy City High School, Class of 1951. She earned a Bachelor's Degree from Marymount College, NYC. She was an instructor at Kings County Hospital, worked several years for a private-practice ophthalmologist in NYC, and retired as the Wellness Coordinator for Johnson and Higgins, NYC.

She is survived by two sisters, Marie, widow of Angelo Greek, Snydersville, PA and Rosarene D'Amico Kunkle, Wyomissing, PA and several nieces and nephews..

She was predeceased by her brother, Frank D'Amico.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, 2810 St. Albans Dr., Sinking Spring, PA 19608. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:30 to 10 a.m. in the church. Inurnment will follow in Berks County Memorial Gardens. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
