Dolores Ann Ashenfelter

Dolores Ann "Dee" (Barbitta) Ashenfelter, 71, of Temple, died October 14, 2011 in her daughter's Exeter Township residence.

Her husband, Charles Ashenfelter, passed away December 28, 2005.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Julia (Delillo) Barbitta.

She was an employee at David Crystal for over 20 years. She also worked at Cookies by Design as an assembler for 3 years and was an Avon sales representative for a year.

Dolores was a member of St. Margaret's R.C. Church, Reading.

She enjoyed crafts, playing bingo, swimming and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Kim D., wife of Fred P. Greth, Exeter Township. Also surviving are six siblings: Frank, husband of Betty J. Barbitta, Reading; Jeanette, widow of Donald E. Ohlinger, Reading; Tillie, widow of Henry Kahtner, Amarillo, TX; Mary M., wife of Raymond L. Guiditto, Muhlenberg Township; Rosalie, wife of Emidio J. Camilli, Muhlenberg Township and Patricia A., widow of Clarence W. Snyder, Leesport Boro.

Other survivors include two grandchildren: John E., Jr., husband of Kristy L. Petersen and Amber R. Petersen; two great-grandchildren: Liliana and Miranda and two sisters-in-law: Edna Barbitta and Rita Barbitta, both of Reading.

Dolores was predeceased by four siblings: Joseph, Samuel, Anthony and Carmilla.

Services will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Rd., Laureldale. A viewing will be 9 to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
