Dianne Formicone Pease

Dianne Formicone Pease, 73, of Exeter Township, passed away on December 17, 2025, at The Manor at Market Square, where she had resided for the past six years due to Frontotemporal Dementia.

She was the loving wife of Gregory M. Pease, with whom she shared 43 years of marriage.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Carolyn (Fabriziani) Formicone. Dianne grew up in West Reading, where she lettered in basketball, met her husband, and made lifelong memories.

She was a graduate of Kutztown University, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education; and of Penn State University, where she earned an Associate’s Degree in Nutrition.

Dianne followed her passion for food and caring for others for 35 years as a Nutritionist, spending most of her career at Reading Hospital. She loved food, her patients, and her work family—often baking, planning parties, and “doing too much” for those she worked with and cared for. She never hesitated to visit a friend of a friend while doing her job, if for no other reason than to be a friendly face.

Family and faith were important to Dianne. She was a lifelong member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, attending Mass every Sunday until she no longer was able. For many years, she also ensured her mother and elderly aunt were able to attend.

Dianne especially cherished traveling with her daughter and sisters, creating treasured memories together on bus trips, vacations to the beach, and an unforgettable journey to Italy. These trips were filled with laughter, sightseeing, great food, and time spent side by side.

Dianne loved Elvis, dancing, and dancing to Elvis. The record player could often be heard blaring Heartbreak Hotel or The Statler Brothers as she danced around cooking or cleaning.

Dianne was a genuinely kind and selfless woman, known for her compassionate nature and amazing desserts, leaving a lasting impact on everyone who knew her. With a heart of gold, she dedicated her time to various nonprofit organizations, including Altrusa International and Helping Harvest Food Bank, serving alongside her daughter and embodying compassion in her community. In her personal life, Dianne found joy in cooking, baking, shopping, and had a particular fondness for jewelry and shoes. Oh, how she loved her shoes!

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Nicole M. Pease; her stepson, Michael Pease, both of Reading; and her sisters, Dolores Hyneman and Sandra Rossi. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Elliana Godal, Rosalie Godal, Mariah Pease, Madison Pease, and Beckham Pease.
