Diane Margaret Woodland

Diane M. (Duda) Woodland, 70, passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at home with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Robert Woodland, with whom she would have celebrated 46 years of marriage in May.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Margaret (Riegel) Duda. After graduating from Holy Name High School, she was employed by the Reading School District for several years as an administrator. She worked for A-Treat Bottling Co. part time as she began to start a family, and later took full time employment with R.M. Palmer Co. where she retired a few years ago.

Diane's most cherished role was being a wife and mother. She loved taking care of her family and pets. Diane was an excellent cook and baker. She found beauty in making things her own. She made many beautiful crafts over the years. She enjoyed time outside and being in her gardens, and she enjoyed taking short road trips. She was a member of St. John Baptist de la Salle in Shillington.

Left to treasure her memory are her husband, Robert; son, Jason Woodland of Elkton, MD; daughters, Jennifer Woodland (Brian A. Smith) of Newmanstown, PA; and Sara Woodland (fiancé Chase Newell) of Kingsland, GA. She is also survived by her brother, Dr. Andrew Duda (Barbara Searfoss) of Okemos, MI; and a special cat named Sandy.

Along with her parents, Diane was preceded in death by her oldest brother, James A. Duda, husband to Ethel (Elberfeld) of Delran, NJ.

Services will be held Monday, April 22, 2024 at 11:00 am in Kuhn Funeral Home, 730 Penn Avenue, West Reading, PA 19611. The family will receive friends and relatives from 9:00 am to until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Nativity of BVM Cemetery, Reading. In honor of Diane, please consider wearing something colorful on that day... she would have loved that.
