Diane Jayne Sassaman

Diane J. (Dillman) Sassaman, 82, passed away on June 18, 2025 at the Reading Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Harry D. Sassaman. They shared 62 years of love, laughter and wonderful memories.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Clayton S. and Veronica (Hauslyak). Diane graduated from Reading Hospital School of Nursing. She also received a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from Millersville University, and a Master's Degree in Nursing from Villanova University. She worked as a registered nurse at Reading Hospital before becoming a Nursing Instructor at St. Joseph Hospital and the Reading Area Community College.

Diane enjoyed reading, shopping for her granddaughters, and cooking meals for her family. One of her greatest joys was finding just the perfect gift for anyone she knew.

In addition to her husband, Harry, her memory will be cherished by her son: Christopher Sassaman, and his wife, Lisa; her granddaughters, Elena M. Sassaman, and Anna E. Sassaman; and her Sister in Law, Robin Prins.
