Diane Marie Remley, 68, passed away December 14, 2016 in her home and in the company of her loving husband and daughter.
Diane was born the youngest of three in Reading to the late Joseph and Helen (Sobczak) Kulchinsky on January 1, 1948. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Meade Remley, Jr.; by her daughter and son-in-law, Heather Remley and William Yerkes, III; by her brother and sister-in-law, Stanley and Susan (Ames) Kulchinsky; and by numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Barbara Moyer. She also leaves behind her faithful k-9 companion of twelve years, Shorty.
Diane was a graduate of Reading Central Catholic High School and later went on to graduate from St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing Program in 1969. Diane eventually earned her Master's Degree in Health Administration from St. Joseph's University in 1995 and obtained her Post Masters Certificate in Nursing Administration from Villanova University in 1996.
She worked passionately as an RN at St. Joseph's Hospital for many years, and even though her career eventually turned toward practice management, she proudly maintained her nursing license up until her death. Diane most recently acted as the Chief Operating Officer of Central Penn Management Group (CPMG), where she utilized her 20+ years experience in progressive nursing management to successfully master the field of Physician Practice Management with her business partners at CPMG.
Diane was a devout Catholic who, up until her last days, never missed weekend mass. She felt strongly about giving back to the community and did so generously throughout the year. She relished her many trips abroad with her husband with whom she also shared a deep love of nature and for bird watching. She also enjoyed time at the bingo hall most weekends.
