Diane M. Pawlewicz

Diane M. Pawlewicz, 68, of Cumru Twp., passed away on August 4, 2018, in Jefferson Hospital, Philadelphia.

She was the beloved wife of Robert Pawlewicz for almost 46 years. They were married on December 2, 1972.

Born in Allentown on July 22, 1950, she was the daughter of Phyllis J. (Schleicher) Kropf and the late John C. Kropf.

She was a 1968 graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School.

For most of her life, Diane worked as a caring and compassionate registered nurse at establishments such as St Joseph Medical Center, Phoebe Nursing Home, and most recently, St. Joseph Villa.

She was a member of St. Benedict's Roman Catholic Church in Mohnton and a former member of St. Margaret's Roman Catholic Church in Reading. Diane was very involved in St. Margaret's Catholic School for almost 20 years.

Diane had a big heart and always made sure everyone was taken care of. She enjoyed traveling and would frequent the casinos with her husband, Bob. She was an awesome cook and an even better baker. She was a die-hard Duke basketball fan and enjoyed watching their games. What mattered most to Diane was her family, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to know her.

In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by four children: Jessica A., wife of Patrick McGovern, Muhlenberg; Robert J., husband of Diana Pawlewicz, Bristow, VA; Stephanie L., wife of Hassan Beyah, West Fargo, ND; and Kathleen M., wife of Hans Haas, Reading; 13 grandchildren: Colin, Grace, Parker, Ella, Dillon, Xavier, Emily, Kylie, Thomas, Axel, Ivey, Robert, and Maxwell; and one brother, David J., husband of Judy L. Kropf, Catasauqua. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 9, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Benedict's Roman Catholic Church, 2020 Chestnut Hill Rd., Mohnton, PA 19540. Burial will private at the convenience of the family. Friends may call Thursday from 9:00 to 10:00 am in the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Diane's memory to the McGlinn Family Regional Cancer Center at Reading Hospital, c/o Reading Hospital Foundation, P.O. Box 16052, Reading, PA 19612.
