Diane Charlene Kita

Diane C. Kita, 67, of Spring Township, peacefully entered into heaven Monday, July 20 in her residence surrounded by her loved ones.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of Richard D. and the late Irene H. (Czartornyski) Farina.

She is survived by her loving devoted daughter, Rebecca L. Kita of Spring Township and Manhattan and her longtime companion, Barry Schell. She was predeceased by her brother Larry R. Farina, June, 2012. She is also survived and will be sadly missed by her sister-in-law, Pat Farina and many cousins.

Diane was a 1965 graduate of Wilson High School and a 1969 graduate of Kutztown University where she received a Bachelor's Degree in Education.

She was employed by the Reading School District for 34 years most of them teaching 3rd grade at 13th and Green Elementary. She truly loved teaching and connecting with her students many of whom she remained in contact with over the years. She retired in 2003.

Diane's strong Catholic faith was the center of her life. She was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola R.C.C.

She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, cousin and friend, and touched the lives of everyone she knew. Diane was happiest spending time with friends and family. She also enjoyed reading, soduko puzzles, and volunteering for The Berks Visiting Nurses and The Spring Township Library.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday July 27th at 11:00 at St. Ignatius Church, 2810 St. Alban's Drive, Sinking Spring, PA 19608. Friends may call Sunday July 26th from 5-7 pm at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading and 1 hour prior to mass at the Church.
