Denton E. White, 84, of West Reading, died February 17, 2008 in Berks Heim.
He was the husband of Julia M. (Johnson) White.
Born in Passaic, NJ, he was the son of the late Earl S. and Florence G. (Gates) White.
He was a stockman for Reading Railroad for 43 years retiring in 1983.
Denton was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving on the USS Bunker Hill Air Craft Carrier during WW II.
He was an avid bowler.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two daughters, Ruth Ann, wife of Dennis Parr, Shillington and K. Barbara, wife of Jeffrey Wallgren, Jacksonville, OR; and his son, Robert D., Oley. There is also one sister, Lois M., widow of Spencer J. Homan, Temple, eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Burial will be private in Forest Hills Memorial Park. Friends may call Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the charity of your choice in Denton's memory.
