Dennis W. Bierkamp

Dennis W. Bierkamp, 69, passed away November 5, 2021, in his Tilden Township residence.

He was the loving husband of Elizabeth M. (Druding) Bierkamp. They were married on July 26, 1975.

Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Boyd and Ellen (Coney) Bierkamp; and uncle of his late beloved niece, Amy E. Bierkamp

He was a graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School.

Dennis was employed by Sears and Roebuck for 23 years, and later for James Hardie and Metal Sales as a machinist, before retiring in 2014.

A true fighter with a great spirit to match, Dennis was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend.

Dennis had a passion for growing plants of any kind, especially from seeds; he was lovingly nicknamed "Green thumb".

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Dennis B, husband of Julia Bierkamp, Hamburg and Brian, husband of Alisha Bierkamp, Mohrsville; three grandchildren: Dennis Bierkamp, Jackson Bierkamp and Rose Bierkamp; and three brothers: Robert Bierkamp, Thomas Bierkamp and Richard Bierkamp. Four nephews; two nieces; six great-nieces and two great-nephews also survive him.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 13, 2021, at 12 p.m. at Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, 40 South Fourth St. Hamburg. Burial will be private. A visitation will be Saturday from 11 a.m. till 12 p.m. at the funeral home.
