Dennis Stephen Stanislaw, age 65, of Wyomissing PA died on December 29, 2013 in the Reading Hospital. He waged a courageous battle against pancreatic cancer.
Born in West Reading, he was the son of the late Nicholas Stephen Stanislawczyk and Stephanie Kozak Stanislawczyk Kaufman and stepson of the late Robert Kaufman.
He graduated from Wilson High School in 1967 where he played both football and wrestled. A proud veteran, he served with the Army's Adjadent Generals group serving from 1969-1971. He was employed by Pacer Pumps, Leola, PA.
Denny is survived by his wife Tabitha (Conboy) Stanislaw with whom he celebrated 40 years of marriage in November. Denny's greatest pleasure in life was spending time with his family and traveling. He was most proud of his two children son Shawn M. Stanislaw, husband of Jacqueline (Schmehl), West Wyomissing, and daughter Kathryn Cory Ham, wife of Thomas, Sinking Spring, and his greatest joy granddaughter Aubrey Kathryn Ham.
He was predeceased by his sister Carol Menet Houlihan.
He will be remembered by those who knew him as being a devoted son, caring brother, loving husband, father, Pop Pop and good friend.
A celebration of life service will be held at the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, West Reading on Saturday, January 4, 2014. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until the service at 10 a.m. Internment will be immediately following the service in the Pleasant View Cemetery, Sinking Spring, PA.
