Dennis R. Kline

Dennis R. Kline, AKA "The Egg King" 78 of Temple died July 5, 2018 in Manor Care, Laureldale. Dennis was the husband of Charlene V. (Lesher) Kline. Dennis was born in Leesport and was the son of the late John B. and Katherine E. (Gromis) Kline. Dennis attended Ontelaunee High School and worked as a line haul driver for the U.S. mail for 12 years retiring in 2006. He was the owner operator of Char-Den Poultry Farm, Shoemakersville for 15 years. Dennis was a member of Frieden's Church, Lenhartsville. In addition to his wife, Dennis is survived by two sons, Glen A. husband of Krista (Miller) Kline, Aurora, Illinois, Bryan D. husband of Lesley (Bone) Kline, Clayton, NC and a brother David Kline, Fredericksburg, VA. Additional survivors include grandchildren, Sarah E., Andrew M., Todd D., Rebecca L., Hannah N., Madison N. and Tristan Kline. Dennis was predeceased by his son Gary M. Kline on January 7, 2014. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 21 at 11:00 a.m. at Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc., 40 S. 4 th Street, Hamburg. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will take place in Frieden's Cemetery, Lenhartsville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Humane Society of Berks County, 1801 N. 11 th St., Reading, PA 19604.
