Dennis R. Heckman, Sr. 64 of Tilden Township died December 20th in his residence. He was the husband of Dorothy M. (Berger) Heckman. Dennis was born in West Reading, PA and was the son of the late Harry Walker and Irene (Heckman) Hoster. He was self employed in the auto restoration business for many years retiring in 2010. In addition to his wife, Dennis is survived by 1 son Randy L. husband of Margaret Heckman, Upper Bern Township; 3 daughters, Lori A. wife of Michael Schultz, Parker, Colorado, Lisa A. wife of Timothy Larkin, Maidencreek Township and Angelia A. Heckman, Shoemakersville. He is also survived by 1 sister, Vernona Saylor, Hamburg, 4 brothers, Larry Heckman, Hamburg, Henry Heckman, Centerport, Lester Engle, JR and James Engle both of Hamburg. Dennis was predeceased by 1 son, Dennis R. Heckman, JR on September 27, 1993, 1 sister, Shirley Steinly and 1 brother, Terry Heckman. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 27th, at 11:00 AM from the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc., 40 S. 4th Street, Hamburg. A viewing will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home at the above address. The family respectfully requests NO FLOWERS. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Hamburg.
