Demostenis A. "Meme" Zeppos, 52, died December 20, 2014 in his Bern Twp. residence.
Born in Reading, he was the son of Anastasios D. and Athena A. (Limberiou) Zeppos, Wyomissing.
He was a graduate of Reading High School in 1980. After high school, he also attended Penn State University, Berks County Campus.
Known and loved by so many people in Berks County, Meme had a huge presence working various positions at the family-owned Riveredge Restaurant since he was a teenager. He had a rarely seen zest for life and was always happy to share a funny story. He enjoyed entertaining and making others laugh.
A big history buff, Meme rarely missed a historic air show at the Reading Airport. He loved watching Eagles football, especially when they beat the Cowboys. He was often seen on his lawn tractor and took immense pride in manicuring his lawn.
Meme was a member of Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Maria A. Zeppos-Saravanos, wife of Anthony Saravanos and his nephew, Kostas, and nieces, Anastasia and Alexia.
Services will be Wednesday, December 24 at 11 a.m. at Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 1001 East Wyomissing Boulevard, Reading, PA 19611, with visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park. Contributions in his memory may be made to Sts. Constantine and Helen Church at the above address. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading is in charge of arrangements.
