Delrose Mariebelle Allen

Delrose Mariebelle (Johnson) Allen, 81, died March 26, 2014, in her Spring Township residence.

Her husband, Maxwell E. Allen died in 2009.

Born in St. Thomas, Jamaica, she was a daughter of the late James and Alice (Grant) Johnson.

Delrose loved to knit. She previously had a hat business in Jamaica.

Delrose loved her family. She stressed the importance of education to all her children and grandchildren. She also encouraged kids to pursue their passions.

She is survived by six children, Trevor Daley, Mt. Vernon, NY, Patrick Allen, , Santa Cruz, CA, Donovan Allen, Monterey, CA, Bryon Allen, Mt Vernon, NY, Karen Allen, West Lawn and Maxwell Allen, Peekskill, NY; two siblings, Lola Johnson and Alfred Johnson, both of London, England; fourteen grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Delrose is predeceased by her son, Jason Allen and seven siblings.
