Delores Edith Lorah

Delores Edith (Simon) Lorah, 85, of Oley, died October 15, 2014 in St. Joseph Medical Center.

She was married July 29, 1950 to Harold Charles Lorah, who died November 27, 2009.

Born in Shenandoah, Schuylkill County on July 29, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Matthew J. and Edith E. (Geise) Simon.

She was a 1947 graduate of Reading High School.

Delores was employed 35 years as a clerk with the Oley Post Office.

She was a member of Frieden's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Oley.

Delores was a member of the Oley Fire Company; Pikeville Sportsman Association and the Patriotic Order of Americans.

She is survived by five children: Steven D., husband of Donna R. (Jean) Lorah of Oley; Lynnel P. Lorah of Oley; Kim H., husband of Donna L. (Wagaman) Lorah of Exeter Township; Jolene D. Lorah of Oley and Denise C. (Lorah) Hermany of Fleetwood.

Delores is also survived by five grandchildren: Seth H., husband of Alecia (Carter) Lorah, Jenna M. Hermany, Kristine M. Lorah, Ryan M. Hermany and Jessica A. Lorah and one step-grandson, Jason A., husband of Melissa (Schirmer) Reichert.

There is also a great grandson, Carter H. Lorah and two step-great grandchildren: Elias P. Reichert and Victoria L. Reichert.

She was predeceased by a step-grandson, Phillip M. Reichert, who died May 22, 1995 and by three brothers: John, Joseph and Cyrus Simon.

Services will be held Tuesday, October 21st at 11:00 am in Kuhn-Stitzel Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 423 Main Street, Oley.

Viewings will be held Monday evening from 6:30 – 8:00 pm and Tuesday from 10:00 – 11:00 am in the funeral home.

Burial will be in Lobachsville Cemetery.
