Dean E. Langdon, 81, of Charlotte Avenue, Spring Township, died Sept. 8 at 3:20 a.m. in the Lutheran Home at Topton, where he had been a resident since Oct. 1.
He was the husband of Beatrice C. (Bustos) Langdon.
Born in Omaha, Neb., he was a son of the late Harold Langdon and Helen (Tooley) Langdon Burgess.
Langdon had been employed for 29 years by Gilbert Associates, Reading, retiring as general manager in 1980.
He was a 1948 graduate of the University of Nebraska.
Langdon was an Army veteran of World War II.
He was past president of both the Wilson High School Booster Club and Midvale Manor Lions Club.
Langdon is also survived by a daughter, Elizabeth S. (Langdon) Johnston, Wyomissing; and two sons, Daniel R., Wyomissing, and Robert J., Whitfield.
Other survivors include a brother, Alan, Omaha, and a sister, Nancy (Langdon) Allen, Arlington, Texas.
There are also 10 grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Whitfield. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
