Dawn V. Capion

Dawn V. Capion, 87, formerly of Reading, passed away December 14. 2017 in the Masonic Villages, Elizabethtown.

She was the beloved wife of Roy Capion, who died October 23, 1993.

Born in Catawissa, she was the daughter of the late Walter L. and Esther (Fetterman) Teitsworth.

Dawn was a graduate of Polyclinic Hospital, Harrisburg, where she recieved her RN degree.

She was a long-time member of St John's Lutheran Church, Reading and most recently a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Reading.

Dawn was employed by the Reading Hospital as a registered nurse for 27 years until retiring in 1993.

She was member of the Polyclinic Hospital Alumni Association, board member of the Church Women United of Reading and Berks County, and West Lawn Senior Citizens Group. Dawn also volunteered at the Salvation Army.

Dawn is survived by her two children, David A. Capion, Hamburg; Karen L. wife of Mark A. Haines, West Lawn. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her three siblings, Walter L. Teitsworth Jr., John E. Teitsworh and Ida A. Kelly.

Services will be held Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at 10 a.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading with burial to follow at Charles Evans Cemetery, Reading.
