David C. Wagenhurst

David Charles Wagenhurst, 72, died July 19, 2010 in his Fleetwood residence.

He was the husband of Phyllis M. (Fick) Wagenhurst. They were married 51 years.

Born January 29, 1938 in Walnuttown, he was the son of the late William Wagenhurst, Jr. and Cecelia (Watson) Wagenhurst.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two children: Mark D., husband of Georgia (Ford) Wagenhurst of Dallas, TX and Lisa M. Williams of Naples, FL.

There are also three grandchildren, Ryan D. Williams, David F. Wagenhurst and Coralee L. Wagenhurst.

Other survivors include three nephews, David Miller, Gary Frank and Todd Frank.

Dave was predeceased by two sisters, Carol Frank and Doris Miller.

He was a 1955 graduate of Fleetwood High School.

Dave was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Fleetwood.

He was employed as an auto mechanic with Snyder's Sunoco, Fleetwood, for 42 years. Five years prior to his retirement, in 2007, he was employed as a custodian at Fleetwood Area School District.

Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale, with Rev. Patrick W. Morris officiating. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services in the funeral home. Burial will be in Maidencreek Cemetery, Maidencreek Township.
