David W. Dierolf, Sr., 51, of Alsace Township, died February 6th at 11:00 pm in ManorCare Health Services, Muhlenberg Township, where he had been since June 28, 2004.
He was the husband of Nancy J. (Maxwell) Dierolf.
Born in West Reading, he was a son of Mildred C. (Delp), Alsace Township and the late Warren M. Dierolf.
He was a 1971 graduate of Oley Valley High School and a 1977 graduate of Kutztown University with a degree in Elementary Education.
Dierolf was a member of Salem Shalter's Lutheran Church, Alsace Township.
He worked as a field representative for Metropolitan Edison, Reading for 16 years, last working in 1998.
Dierolf is also survived by a daughter, Rebecca L. Dierolf and a son, David W., Jr., both at home.
Other survivors include a half-brother, Larry E. Dierolf of Fleetwood.
Services will be Thursday at 10:00 am in Salem Shalter's Lutheran Church, 2032 Mount Laurel Road, (Alsace Township), Fleetwood, Pa 19522. Rev. Lesley J. Hand officiating. Burial will be in Salem Shalter's Cemetery, Alsace Township. Viewings Wednesday evening 6:30 - 8:00 pm in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale and Thursday in the church from 9:00 am until time of service. Contributions may be made to the church at the above address.
