David C. Turner

David C. Turner, 61, of Mohnton, passed away January 24, 2019, in the Reading Hospital.

He was the beloved husband of Rosemary Turner with whom he celebrated 31 years of marriage.

Born in Reading, he was the son of John F. and Ann (Robinson) Turner.

David was a 1975 graduate of Wilson High School, where he was a standout basketball player. He also attended Bloomsburg University, Northwest College, Wyoming and Lyons Technical Institute.

He was employed by Met-Ed as a transmission specialist for 33 years.

David was a avid Eagles fan. He also loved basketball and traveling with his family to Fenwick Beach, DE.

In addition to his spouse, he is survived by his two children, John "JD" Turner and Katie A. Turner. He is also survived by his brother, Michael, husband of Kathy Turner; brother-in-law, Joseph Cammarano; nieces, Melody, wife of Joe Benito; Tara, wife of Chris Breidenstine, Melissa Cammarano; one great-nephew, and three great-nieces.

Prayer services will be held Wednesday, January 30, 2019, at 4:30 p.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Viewing will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., is in charge of arrangements.
