David A. Shaak, 64, of Hamburg, passed away on December 5, 2023 at Reading Hospital. Born in Reading, he was the son of Harry P. and Elda May (Wessner) Shaak. David was the loving husband of Deborah, to whom he was married for 39 years, until her passing in February 2023.
David was a 1977 graduate of Hamburg Area High School. He dedicated his entire life to the profession of being a dairy farmer. David's membership in First Reformed United Church of Christ was a testament to the significance of his faith.
Farming was one of David's true passions in life. David dedicated his entire life to God's land. He natured God dirt, fed his livestock and provided a meal for his people. David worked beside God 24/7, 365 days out of the year.
He enjoyed fishing with his sons and cheered on the Phillies and Steelers. Above all else, David's most significant aspect of his life was his deep affection for his wife. They were inseparable, always by each other's side, sharing a connection that was unparalleled.
David's memory will be treasured by his sons, Travis (Kayla) and Christopher (Kearstan) Shaak, both of Shoemakersville. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Layla, Clayton, and Daxton. He will also be missed by his siblings, Susan Snyder and Michael A. Shaak.
David was predeceased by his grandson, Colton and his sister, Lori Shaak.
David fought hard with God to defeat an illness we tried to protect him from. David is with his precious wife, Deborah, again and our hearts seek comfort knowing this.
