David Richard Fisher

David "Dave" R. Fisher, 77, of Exeter Township, passed away on February 19, 2025, in the care of Reading Hospital. Born in Reading to the late Theodore and Shirley (Stoudt) Fisher, David graduated from Conrad Weiser High School. He graduated from Penn State with a degree in engineering.

He retired from Lucent (formerly Western Electric and AT&T) after many years as a manager. After retirement, he worked at Threshold. David volunteered with the United Way and Meals on Wheels. David enjoyed playing and watching sports. He especially enjoyed watching the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles.

David was a 32⁰ member of the Valley of Reading Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Chandler Lodge No. 227, having joined in 1996.

He is survived by his children: Timothy Fisher (Paula) of Berlin, MD; Melissa Fisher (James Best) of Leesport; and Angela Fisher (Jason Bretz) of Breckenridge, CO; his grandchildren, Noah Fisher and Caiden and Sierra Bretz; and a nephew, Dick Stambaugh. He was predeceased by his sister, Cindy Barbary.

Friends and family are welcome to gather on Monday, February 24, from 11 a.m. to noon at the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc, 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading, PA 19611. Masonic Rites will be rendered at noon. Condolences may be expressed at kuhnfuneralhomes.com.
