David M. Rhodes

David M. Rhodes, 65, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2024, in his Schuylkill Haven residence.

Born in Charleston, S.C., he was the son of the late Carson Rhodes and Sarah F. Purvis.

He was the beloved husband of Brenda L. (Heckman) Rhodes, with whom he celebrated 10 years of marriage.

David was a United States Air Force Veteran serving as an M.P.

He was employed as a Corrections Officer in the State of PA for over 10 years.

David enjoyed hunting, fishing and making walking sticks. He also enjoyed writing poetry and was very quick witted always making those around him laugh.

In addition to his spouse, David is survived by his children, Christopher D. Rhodes, Daniel D. Rhodes, Gabrielle Rhodes and stepchildren, Timothy Heckman and Jenny Conklin. He is also survived by 2 siblings, Connie Purvis; Timothy Rhodes; 4 grandchildren; Emma R. Rhodes, Kianna Conklin, Morgan Weiant and Cheyanne Weiant.

David was predeceased by his brother Joseph Rhodes.
