David Philip Parese

David P. Parese, 67, of Douglassville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 20, 2026. He was the loving husband of Deborah J. (Bare) for over 35 years.

Born in Reading to the late John P. Parese and Joan (Breuninger) Hartman, David graduated from Mt. Penn High School in 1978, where he played basketball. He graduated with a bachelor's in business administration in 2010 from Gwynedd Mercy University. He retired from Merck Pharmaceuticals as a manufacturing supervisor.

He was a member of Mountain View Chapel of Douglassville.

David was a loving husband and father and a proud grandfather. He was naturally mechanically inclined and had a remarkable talent for fixing just about anything. There was very little he couldn't figure out, and he took great pride in working with his hands and making things better, especially around the home.

David loved to vacation with his wife. He also enjoyed grilling, and using his smoker to create great dinners to be shared with family and friends. He was an avid Eagles and Phillies fan. His many talents, passions, and, most importantly, his love for his family will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him.

Left to treasure David's memory is his wife, Deborah; their children, Drew Parese, fiancé of Andrea De La Rosa Perez, and Emily (Parese) Miller, wife of Brian Miller; and grandson, Maxwell Miller. David is also survived by his brother, Michael Parese, husband of Rachel, and well as his nieces and their families.

In addition to his parents, David was predeceased by his sister, Kim Dunlop.

Memorial Services for David will be held Friday, October 2, 2026, visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. with formal services beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Mountain View Chapel, 68 Old Douglas Dr, Douglassville, PA 19518.
