David B. Moore, 79, of Blandon, passed away peacefully July 31, 2009 at 6:50 pm in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center, with his family by his side. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend and caregiver.
Born May 28, 1930, in Reading, he was a son of the late Kathryn A. (Fridinger) and W. Dean Moore, and the husband of Peggy L. (Hall) Moore of Blandon.
He was a former board member of American Ministries to the Deaf. He loved trains, ice cream, the Phillies and loved to hunt and fish with his son Rick. He attended Calvary Bible Fellowship Church in Sinking Spring. He was a graduate of the Pensylvania School for the Deaf, Philadelphia. David will be remembereed by those who loved him most for his patience and kind and tender spirit.
In addition to his childhood sweetheart and wife of 57 years, he is survived by 2 Sons: Rick G. Moore and his wife Susan of Fleetwood and Jonathan D. Moore of Blandon. Also 3 Sisters: Joan M. Werner of Mohnton; Silver Moore-Leamon of Auburn, ME and Krisdean Beattie of Grants Pass, Or. 1 Brother also survives: Stephen Moore of Seabrook, MD. One Grandson: Ryan M. Moore of Orlando, FL and many nieces and nephews. He was preceeded in death by a son: Jeffrey Hall Moore.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2009 at 2:00 pm in Fleetwood Bible Church, 2847 Moselem Springs Road, Fleetwood, Pa., 19522. The Rev. Bob Phillips and Pastor Nathanael Naugle officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm in the church. An interpreter will be provided. Inurnment will be at the family's convenience.
