David Mayer

David Mayer, 74, of Second Street, Wernersville, died October 9th at 7:56 pm in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center where he had been since October 6th.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Henry J. and Catharine (Decker) Mayer.

He was a graduate of Reading Catholic.

Mayer worked for a number of years at Rockwell International, until his retirement in 1991.

He was a Marine Corp. Veteran.

Mayer was a life-member of the American Legion.

He is survived by two nephews, Michael A. Mayer of Bethlehem and Christopher D. Mayer of Ephrata.

Mayer was predeceased by a brother, Albert L. Mayer who died February 12, 1988.

Services will be Wednesday at 11:30 am in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Viewing Wednesday 10:30 am until time of service. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
