David R. Long

David R. Long, Sr., 52, died August 5, 2008 at 12:40 p.m. in his Reading residence.

He was the companion of Doris Ann Gonzalez since October 4, 1984.

Born July 26, 1956 in West Reading, he was the son of Robert Samuel Long of Reading and Doris Stella (Steves) Long of Reading.

David was a 1974 graduate of Muhlenberg High School.

He was an antique dealer, buyer and collector for 42 years, last working Sunday.

Also surviving is a son, David Robert Long, Jr. of Reading.

Services will be Friday at 1:00 p.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc. 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale, with the Rev. Robin Henry officiating. A viewing will be held an hour prior to the services. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
